Please read these Terms of Service carefully before booking an appointment or using this website. By making a booking or engaging my services, you agree to the terms set out below.
These terms apply to all services provided by Katie Kempthorne Naturopathy & Acupuncture, whether delivered in person at the Sandringham clinic or online via telehealth.
1. About This Practice
Katie Kempthorne Naturopathy & Acupuncture is a private natural health practice offering naturopathy and Traditional Chinese Medicine acupuncture services.

2. Services
Services offered include naturopathic consultations, acupuncture, and related natural health services, delivered either in person at the Sandringham clinic or via telehealth (online video consultation).
Please note that naturopathy and acupuncture are complementary health disciplines. They are intended to support your overall wellbeing and work alongside — not replace — conventional medical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please contact your GP or call 111.
Nothing communicated during a consultation, on this website, or in any email or newsletter constitutes medical diagnosis or treatment.
3. Appointments & Bookings
All appointments are booked through the online booking system (Timely). By completing a booking you are confirming your agreement to these Terms of Service.
You are responsible for ensuring that the contact details and any health information you provide at the time of booking are accurate and up to date.
Appointment times are reserved specifically for you. Please arrive on time for in-person appointments. For telehealth appointments, please ensure you have a stable internet connection and a private, quiet space.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Cancellations by you
You may cancel or reschedule your appointment at no charge provided you give at least 24 hours notice before your scheduled appointment time.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice will be charged 100% of the full service fee. This applies regardless of the reason for cancellation, including illness.
To cancel or reschedule, please use the link in your booking confirmation email or contact me directly via the website.
No-shows
If you do not attend your appointment and have not provided notice, the full service fee will be charged to the card held on file.
Cancellations by Katie Kempthorne
In the rare event that I need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative time. No charge will be applied and any payment already processed will be refunded in full.
5. Payment
All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable.
How payment works
When you book online, you will be asked to securely save a credit or debit card via the Timely booking system. Your card details are encrypted and stored securely by Timely — I do not have direct access to your card number.
Payment is processed at the conclusion of your appointment. You will receive an invoice and receipt confirming the amount charged.
Alternatively, an invoice may be issued after your appointment for payment on the same day.
Outstanding payments
If a payment is declined or remains unpaid, I reserve the right to withhold future bookings until the outstanding amount is settled.
Refunds
Fees for completed consultations are non-refundable. If you have concerns about a service received, please contact me directly and I will do my best to address them.
6. Health Information & Confidentiality
In the course of providing care, I will collect and hold health information about you. This information is used solely for the purpose of your clinical care and is treated with strict confidentiality.

7. Telehealth Consultations
Online consultations are offered via video call - Zoom, Whatsapp or Facetime. By booking a telehealth appointment you acknowledge that:
You are responsible for ensuring a suitable private space and a reliable internet connection
Telehealth consultations may not be appropriate for all presenting conditions — if this is the case, I will advise you accordingly
The same cancellation and payment terms apply to telehealth appointments as to in-person appointments
8. Limitation of Liability
While I take every care in providing professional, evidence-informed natural health services, I cannot guarantee specific outcomes. Individual results vary depending on many factors outside my control.
To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, Katie Kempthorne Naturopathy & Acupuncture will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of services or this website.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
