What are your clinic hours?
We are open from 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday.
Do I need acupuncture or naturopathic advice?
Regardless of why you come, you'll have an initial consultation. We'll find out exactly what's going on, and we'll look at your health history to formulate a treatment plan for you. That could include naturopathy, acupuncture, or both - it's up to you!
If I want acupuncture, will I get a treatment at the initial appointment?
Yes. Just let us know that's what you'd like.
Does acupuncture hurt?
Sometimes you will feel a little pain when the acupuncture needles are inserted. This usually goes away immediately, or within the first few minutes of your treatment. The needles produce different sensations with different people. Most patients feel a sense of heaviness and deep relaxation.
What is herbal medicine?
Herbal medicine is the oldest form of healing there is. Herbs contain many ingredients, which work together to produce a beneficial effect. Each remedy is individually blended to match the imbalances in your body, and works by gently supporting and nourishing your system so it can heal itself.
What is vitamin and mineral therapy?
As naturopaths we are trained to be able to identify which vitamins and minerals you may be missing. To do this we ask you about your health history, and don't usually require blood tests or use any other fancy gadgets. Deficiencies of certain vitamins and minerals can be a significant cause of ill health and imbalance in the body, which we look to improve through dietary change, and if necessary supplementation.
